Parker Solar Probe was launched on August 12, 2018 for a 7-year journey to the solar corona. In November 2018, the mission became the first ever to get as close as 24 million kilometres from the solar surface. The SCM instrument operates nominally; its scientific data are being analysed at the LPC2E.
