Plasmas spatiaux
ESPACE Team
Research activities of the team
The team works on three main topics: Sun-Earth relations, Atmosphere-Ionosphere-Magnetosphere couplings and planetary plasmas. Our instrumental know-how (electrical and magnetic sensors) is much sought after by international space missions. We perform modeling and develop our own analysis tools to scientifically interpret the data from our instruments.
Projects and Collaborations
Our research is associated with a strong instrumental activity and directly linked to the space missions to which we provide instruments. Thus, we participate in the major space missions of ESA (Solar Orbiter, CLUSTER, JUICE, Comet Interceptor), NASA (Parker Solar Probe) or ESA-JAXA (BepiColombo). We also participate in international balloon campaigns (Strateole-2, OREO project) for the study of transient energetic phenomena in the atmosphere.
