CALLISTO

CALLISTO (Compound Astronomical Low cost Low frequency Instrument for Spectroscopy and Transportable Observatory!!!) is a spectrometer which aims at observing solar bursts in the radio domain.

The ESPACE team has installed a CALLISTO antenna and the spectrometer on the roof of the laboratory.

The radio emissions of the immediate environment (radio communications, FM band, …) do not allow to obtain data of sufficient quality for scientific studies, this installation is intended for the teaching and the diffusion of knowledge.
